Works with your Clio account
Connect your own Clio account, open a matter and choose its documents. CaseBuilder reads every page and opens the case where it stands: what the record supports, what it still lacks, and the work product it can prepare from it.
Read-only. CaseBuilder reads only the documents you choose and never changes anything in Clio.
How it works
No downloads, no uploads: the documents come straight from the matter, and the matter stays where it is.

Your open matters are listed by recent activity. Open one, take all its documents or tick the ones you need, in any of its folders. PDFs and images up to 100 MB per document are read.
CaseBuilder reads the documents into a case: the strategy, the claim, the chronology, the exhibits and the demand. Documents can be added from the matter later, and the exhibits are built from the originals fetched again from Clio.
Your Clio data
CaseBuilder asks Clio for each document you choose, through your own connection, and never writes to Clio. It keeps the reading of each page with your case; the original files stay in Clio and are fetched again when the exhibits are built.
How readings are made and stored, who can open a case and how a case is deleted: Data security.
Nothing is read until you choose a matter's documents and confirm the reading.
A document Clio stores through another service (Google Drive, Office 365) cannot be downloaded through Clio's API; it is listed but cannot be chosen. Read it from that service directly.
CaseBuilder connects to Clio's United States region today. Firms on Clio's Canada, Europe or Australia regions: write to us.
